Mack Building

The Mack Building, a two-story former plating facility spanning 3,800 square feet, is undergoing a transformative restoration. With the support of the State of Michigan SHPA grant and City of Chelsea DDA grant funds, the new owner is revitalizing this historic structure. The vision includes converting the main floor into a mixed-use space and creating loft-type residential accommodations on the second floor.

This adaptive reuse project is a testament to the commitment to preserving historical charm while meeting contemporary needs. Once an eyesore on Main Street, the Mack Building is being reborn as a fully functional farm stop, contributing to the revitalization of the local community. The construction was successfully completed in 2019, marking a significant milestone in the building’s journey toward renewed purpose and relevance.
