Hudson Downtown

As part of an effort to rejuvenate its core, the City of Hudson secured a Community Block Development Grant through the Michigan State Historic Preservation Office to renovate the facades of its downtown. From brick Victorian arcades and tin storefronts to art deco apartments, we researched historical photographs, assessed necessary repairs, designed new details to restore areas that had been demolished, and provided technical guides to restoration work. We worked closely with the City Manager and individual building owners to make the renovated buildings as useful as possible to the community, greatly improving the aesthetic environment of downtown Hudson.
